Success in BBC Radio 2 Story-Writing Competition

Year Eight pupil, Katy Marsh, has been made it through to the second round of 500 Words; one of the World’s most successful story writing competitions which is run by BBC Radio 2 and led by breakfast DJ Chris Evans. There were over 130,000 entries to the competition and just 5,000 pieces made it through to the next round, where the stories are being judged by a reading agency.

Entrants were asked to write a story, on any subject or theme, of 500 words or less and submit it online. Katy’s story was entitled ‘Look After Yourself’.

Congratulations to Katy and good luck in the next round.
