On Wednesday 29 November, RGS hosted the District Schools’ Cross-Country Championships at RGS The Grange. It was a very successful day with no fewer than eight RGS pupils qualifying, who will now go on to represent
the Worcester District in the County Championships on Saturday 20 January at Sanders Park, Bromsgrove.
Teyah Farmer finished 2nd in the Year Seven Girls’ competition andJames Robinson finished 4th in the Junior Boys’ competition. However, it was the Junior Girls who had the greatest success, with Jodie Ruane coming in 1st, Alice Atkinson finishing 4th, Lucy Ball in 9th, Lily Hutton in 11th, Hebe Walsh in 12th and Ellie Nicholls in 14th. To have six girls finish in the top 16 qualifying positions reallydoes highlight the strength and depth in Years Eight and Nine.
Well done to all those who competed.
