Over 50 pupils from the Year Ten Bronze cohort ventured out into the north-west Worcestershire countryside over the weekend for their training expedition. It was perfect weather and terrain to demonstrate and develop their outdoor skills. They walked, navigated and worked as a team for the best part of two days, as well as preparing and cooking their meals.
Their positive manner, appetite to learn and willingness to foster their outdoor skills was excellent. This was reflected and evident in the performance of the groups in so many ways.
In summary, we had perfect walking conditions, a mild night to camp and a beautiful part of the county to explore, which all contributed to a very successful Bronze Award Expedition.
