Textiles is celebrated for excellent teaching and facilities and, most importantly, for the opportunities available to our students.

With an ethos of providing excellence, pupils are encouraged to explore the areas of Fashion and Textiles that are of particular interest to them. Whether it be a focus on Interior Design, Bridal, Fashion, Surface Pattern or Product Design, they are given the confidence, encouragement and skill base to succeed at all levels. All our students currently fulfil their dreams of gaining a place at a top, specialist university for Fashion, Retail, or Textiles.

Students have the opportunity to take part in the Young Fashion Designer UK competition. RGS is an integral part of this national competition is the venue for the Midlands Regional Event. Industry professionals who judge the competition have selected four of our students as competition winners in the last six years.

Our co-curricular programme offers extra opportunities: students have taken part in work experience days at Harrods and a behind-the-scenes tour of Savile Row. They have attended Graduate Fashion Week and have exhibited work at the National Exhibition Centre, to mention but a few.
