This week has been full of musical accomplishments for RGS Springfield.
On Tuesday 2 May, Mrs McCabe took two choirs from RGS Springfield to perform at The Cheltenham Festival.
Years One and Two performed ‘Singing in the Bath’ and ‘The Moon’ superbly and were awarded first prize in the class scoring 90 out of a maximum score of 100.
Our smaller choir from Years Three to Six sang ‘Al Shlosha D’Varim’ and ‘The Water is Wide’. It was a big venue and there were many much bigger choirs so the competition was tough. They sang beautifully and although they didn’t win a prize they scored 87 which reflected their performance.
RGS Springfield has been selected as a winning school in a Shakespeare Composition Competition. The prize is to have the composition arranged professionally and performed by musicians from the Birmingham Conservatoire at Warwick School on Wednesday 21 June. Furthermore, the concert will be attended by Julian Lloyd Webber.
