Year Five have been finding out how stars are born and have enjoyed looking at the spectacular images of deep space nebulae. They responded by creating some 3D sculpture using coat hanger frameworks and a secret technique to cover the wire. After lots of practise on paper they felt brave enough to paint the nebula clouds onto the sculpture using acrylic paints. Everyone spent a lot of time and care trying to make the paint look like clouds of gases. The finished sculptures look fantastic.
