The 3rd XV had their second win of the season on a cold, muddy Saturday in Warwick. John McAuley opened the scoring for RGSAO with a try after quick ball from the forwards. 1st XV Report vs KES Stratford
In the second match between these two sides this season, RGSAO were keen to make up for their poor form the last time they met. RGSAO played a well controlled and tactically astute game. The forwards starved Stratford of the ball for long periods and this pressure lead to a fine 'catch and drive' try claimed by Sam Wreghitt. By half time Stratford had only added a penalty and RGSAO were confident going into the second half with the wind behind them. After some slick handling Will Short scored two tries which were converted by Sam Wreghitt.

1st XV Report
Against a large set of forwards the RGSAO pack performed superbly to build strong attacking positions. Sam Wreghitt opened the scoring with a penalty from in front of the posts and Will Short added to this with a try by darting over in the corner. In the second half Nat McDonald fielded a loose kick in his own 22 and ran through a few tackles to feed Charlie Jackson who then passed it to Will Short who silkily avoided being tackled and scored under the post. The Bristol team responded with a late try but the final whistle meant a fine win for RGSAO 20 - 8.

1st XV Report vs Stratford
With a strong wind in their backs RGSAO failed to use it effectively and it was Stratford who scored first with an unconverted try. In the second half Seb Jones crashed over to level the scores and Sam Wreghitt added the conversion to put RGSAO in the lead. However Stratford came back strongly and with the luck going their way and the rain starting to fall, scored a number of tries to win comfortably.
1st XV Report vs Cheltenham
In the first ten minutes RGSO started well being camped in the Cheltenham 22 and took the lead with a Sam Wreghitt penalty goal. Both teams battled hard but Cheltenham took the edge at the breakdown which lead to them having a scrum in the RGSAO and a well worked move gave them the lead. In the second half RGSAO never really threatened and Cheltenham scored again.

U12b Lost 46 - 0
1st XV Report
In a very tense local derby both teams defended superbly. RGSAO scored a try through Charlie Jackson but was unconverted. Old Swinford also managed to score but converted theirs. Late on RGSAO crossed the line twice but the referee was unable to see the ball clearly so did not award the try. RGSAO therefore narrowly lost 7 - 5.
3rd XV Report
On a perfect day for running rugby the 3rd XV were seeking their first win of the season. All went well for the first ten minutes as the forwards delivered good quality ball to the backs, the ball was moved quickly along the line but several times the final pass went forward or was knocked on when we were in a try scoring position. Eventually the forwards won a lineout on their own 22 - the ball was passed swiftly along the backs to Peter Stojanovic on the right wing who sprinted 60 metres to score in the corner - 5 points to nil to RGSAO. Some dropped passes and loose kicks allowed Oldswinford to mount a series of attacks which the defence repelled until 5 minutes before half time when a neat handling move by Oldswinford allowed their very fast left wing too much room and he scored a try near to the posts which was converted. 5 points to 7. From a deep kick off at the restart the RGSAO defence was caught napping when Oldswinford ran the ball back at them- their speedy left winger once again scoring under the posts on the stroke of half time, but this time they failed to convert the try - 5 points to 12 at half time.
At the beginning of the second half several errors from the kick off by Oldswinford gave the RGSAO forwards a good attacking platform. The ball was once again moved to the wing where Peter Stojanovic stormed in from 25 metres for his second try of the match. A superb kick from the touchline by Tom Smith brought the scores level 3 minutes into the second half. On 16 minutes a series of good drives by the forwards saw team captain Ben Wills burst through the defence for another try and the lead for the second time in the game. With a quarter of an hour to go play was interrupted for a long delay which seemed to upset the concentration of the Oldswinford team. RGSAO became more focused and played the rest of the game in the Oldswinford half. Another good series of forward drives put the away defence under pressure and they gave away a penalty. The kick was taken quickly and moved wide - from the ensuing ruck Rory Harrison passed to Matt Ward who made a good break to score the final try of the game. The try was once again converted by Tom Smith to give a final score of RGSAO 24 Oldswinford 12.
It would be unfair to choose a “man of the match” because this was this was an excellent team performance in which every player made a positive contribution to the result.

In perfect conditions RGSAO started well with Charlie Jackson scoring a try after a sustained attack and Luke Hamilton-Jones darting over to score the second. With both tries being converted by Sam Wreghitt RGSAO let Vesey's back into the game with a try under the posts and a penalty to leave the score at half-time 10 - 14. After the break RGSAO controlled the game better which led to tries by Charlie Jackson, Sam Wreghitt, Tom Williams and Adam Damadzic.

1st XV Report
Despite a good start RGSAO failed to convert their early pressure into points. Loughborough scored first with a penalty and then an unconverted try. In the second half RGSAO kicked themselves into good attacking positions from which Nick Houlston scored in one corner and Alex Crawshaw in the other. Miraculously Sam Wreghitt converted from out wide leaving the visitors adrift by 4 points. In the last ten minutes Loughborough kicked a penalty but couldn't add any further points so RGSAO scraped home, winners by one point.

1st XV Match Report
In atrocious conditions the match strated slowly, with both teams struggling to deal with the wet ball. Eventually the RGSAO forwards took control and set up the opportunity for Nick Houslton to score in the corner. Further pressure from the RGSAO forwards led to Adam Heynes, followed by James SInclair, scoring from close range. The lineout was working particularly well and this lead to the final try from Sam Wreghitt. The RGSAO defence was impenetrable to finish 20 - 0.
