v Haberdashers' Monmouth
We had 2 very exciting matches against Haberdashers Monmouth, losing out in the last minute.
At 1st team level the score was 5-6 and a very close 2nd team match, narrowly losing to a tough opposition 5-7
Saturday 31st January 2009
v Haberdashers' Monmouth
1st lost 2-9
2nd lost 1-7
They were both much closer matches than the score line suggests. The 1sts battled hard in tough conditions on the astro turf where the bal travels much faster than on a normal surface. The game started well with RGSAO dominating play and scoring a very impressive goal within the first minute of play. RGSAO domintaed the first half with many attempts on goal unfortunately the shots just were not going in. In the second half Monmouth broke through our defence and scored some very impressive goals. It was a very exciting and tense game.
Saturday 17th January 2009

1st XII won 8 - 2
