From September 2009 the termly fees for RGS Worcester are:| RGS Worcester - boys and girls aged 11 to 18 years | £3,066 |
Scholarships
All pupils sitting the Entrance Examination for entry into RGS Worcester will automatically be considered for Academic Scholarship awards unless their parents request otherwise.| A number of Academic Scholarships may be awarded at 11+ and at 13+ to children who perform very strongly in the entrance procedures. |
| One Art Scholarship of 10% at 11+ and one Art Scholarship of 20% at 13+ may be awarded on the basis of the Entrance Examination plus an interview with the Head of Art, inspection of a portfolio of work and the completion of a set piece of work. |
| Two Music Scholarships of 10% at 11+ and one Music Scholarship of 20% at 13+ may be awarded to the child with the best musical potential as judged by a panel to include the Director of Music, plus consideration of their performance in the Entrance Examination. |
Parents interested in their child being considered for a Music Scholarship or an Art Scholarship should write to the Registrar by Monday 7th December 2009 expressing their interest. Details outlining the procedure will then be forwarded.
Bursaries
A limited number of means-tested bursaries may be awarded according to financial need so as to make the school accessible to bright children whose parents are unable to afford the full fees.Bursaries may be awarded in conjunction with scholarships and, in cases of extreme hardship, may also be extended to include assistance with travel, lunches, uniform or other 'extras'.
The provision of bursaries for new pupils will only be considered if application in made prior to the entrance examination, or subsequently only in the event of an unforeseen and significant change in circumstances.
The parents of any candidate wishing to seek such assistance should mark their Registration Form accordingly. Completed Statement of Financial Circumstances forms must be returned to the Registrar by Monday 25th January 2010 to be eligible for consideration for September 2010 entry.
Entrance Examination
Examinations for entry into RGS Worcester in September 2010 will be held on Saturday 6th February 2010. Specimen papers and details of the appropriate Entrance Examination will be sent to prospective pupils who have Registered. The closing date for receipt of Registrations is Monday 25th January 2010. Notification of the results of the Entrance Examination will be given within one week of the Examination taking place.Assessment for entry to the Sixth Form takes place during February/March 2010.
