Wednesday 20 May 2009 - U15 Multi-events Championship at Nunnery Wood

At Wednesday's U15 County Pentathlon championships there was success for both RGSAO boys and girls.

Fran Short retained the girl's title, taking the lead after the fourth event, the Long Jump and sealing it with a strong 800m.  Her best event was her 75 metre hurdles, in a time of 12.8 seconds.  Not far behind was Holly Wootten, also of RGSAO, taking the bronze medal. however, in the team competition, RGSAO were just beaten by Bromsgrove School.

In the boy's competition there was, however, a resounding win for RGSAO, with the team of Dan Rsavenscroft (3rd), Alex Wyer (4th) and Ed O'Hara (5th), showing remakable consistency over the five events, but with particular strength shown in the 80m Hurdles and High Jump.
